Great opprotunity

My Typical Work Day I have been with Ilab for 7 years and my relationship with my co workers is pleasant. I work well with my co workers. I adapt easy to different environment. I get along well with my co workers. My typical day starts with a stand up to get what we will be doing for the day. Allocate tasks, manage the defects and report on the status and progress of the testing scheduled for that sprint. In this Project I have learnt the Accounting of General Ledger. I enjoy learning new things. The most challenging aspects with my job is sometimes logistics of the team when they do not come to work at times and they is an urgent delivery. One has to jump in and do their work.

It's been a good learning curve

A typical work day: • Analyze, and review requirements and design specifications. • Identifying test conditions and creating test designs, test cases and test data. • Execute the tests, evaluate the results. • Log defects. • Re-test resolved defects. • Report work progress and any problems faced to the Test Lead. • Perform UAT and SIT the most challenging aspect of the job: dealing with different people on a daily bases and being moved to different sites regularly.

Pros: learning different ways of doing things and learning different company systems
Cons: having to adapt to new working environment regularly

Execellent learning curve in client consulting

iLAB is an excellent company to work for. Relationship with co-workers at all levels is excellent. I have learnt a great deal in customer management and focus on quality assurance delivery. Challenges are in areas of managing to many clients due to company have a lean team structure. I enjoy experiencing positive customer satisfaction feedback on services rendered.

Pros: Exposure to different industries like banking, telecoms, broadcasting, finance.
Cons: Time and capacity being stretched due to too many clients to service located all over Gauteng.

Excellent industry exposure

The company expose you to the real working industry. You work closely with the seniors and grab every skill they share with you. It provides training and certificates associated with the work at hand.

Great year end functions not enough growth even after attending courses

I enjoy testing as it is what I love doing, Good culture, in house training is amazing across international accreditation. No growth upward. No benefits.
