I work as a PA TO THE OWNER . Therefore I Diaries his entire life from meetings to Dr appointments to haircuts etc.I type out minutes he gives me handwritten from Site meetings .Admin,filing. I am the front line receptionist as well. I operate a switchboard order for Foreman from Sales hire etc. I screen calls for the owner. I take messages when certain staff members are in meetings I organise refreshments for meetings and platters etc.as wel fro clients or subbies who come to see a QS. i am in charge of teh stationery ordering and taking stoke take .

Pros: I know how to do it all as been here long enough and great staff to work with.
Cons: I have reached my full potential heer

Responsibilities

I am a quantity survey acting as a senior who manages and supervises 2 juniors.. i run 4 sites independantly with a cumulative value of R80 000000.. and over seeing the juniors sites valued at R110 million I tender using CCS, appoint subcontractors, prepare monthly claims and final accounts, liaise with the professional team.

Excelent learning within a diversed working enviroment

My typical work day always starts with checking of payments made and allocating to correct creditors. Reconciliations and assisting QS's with payments. Within in the building industry, reconciliations are more challenging as you need to account for retention as well as contra charges. I have learnt consistency and attention to detail is critical. I love the challenges of my position as I am constantly learning new things.

Pros: Constantly learning within the industry
Cons: Limited within my work function
