Learnt to reconcile Aged Accounts more efficiently
By focusing on the Aged Accounts Payable daily, any processing errors were picked up and corrected immediately. Suppliers accounts were followed up on weekly to ensure all Invoices were correct and had been received as well as processed in the correct month. Reconciliations of Supplier accounts were processed and completed by the 17 th of the month, any queries were dealt with and finalised before month end for payment. Most challenging point of the job was to ensure that all Invoices were received, checked, request corrections if any, process and have approved for pay by means of a signature/ delivery note received as proof to ensure recons were completed by as early as 17 th of the month, along with processing all the Branches (9 branches) Petty cash and ensuring the Credit cards were processed (22 users) along with slips to verify purchase.

Processing paperwork for 9 Branches became a bit overwhelming at times, however, the process of controlling the Suppliers accounts made it easier to anticipate Invoices and payments to come. Quickly learnt the importance of working with Aged accounts Payable on a daily basis, to ensure daily processing was correctly posted. Any discrepancy amounts could be queried and fixed if necessary immediately. As a result reconciliations were balanced and prepared by the 17th of the month. Supplier satisfaction and cooperation was evident as Invoices and relevant paperwork was sent to be processed as soon as generated by supplier. Daily Invoices processed and signed off by relevant manage to approve payment.

Excellent learning curve
A typical work day would be on the road.Seeing clients.From Architects to Interior Designers to Kitchen showroom owners.Making sure they are updated with the latest marketing material and what's new in the market.I make sure that they are well informed of any changes of our brand and that all staff are trained. I have a very good relationship with my co-workers.Although I work alone most of the time I have learnt to build strong relationships with very influential people in the industry. What I enjoyed the most are the relationships I have built throughout the years.I also enjoy not being in an office all day long. The most challenging part of my job is to travel twice a year.I have small children and this makes it very hard. Thanks

Excellent company for learning

Hard worker, enjoy working with people. Good people skills. I am self motivated and I will persevere with any task to completion. I am always on time for work if not early enough to do more work than is nesesary

Learnt to reconcile Aged Accounts more efficiently
Aged accounts processing is an important daily function, to ensure balancing of Supplier accounts. Processing of Petty cash and Credit card transactions should be done weekly to manage expenses and income efficiently. Payments for COD Suppliers are done daily to book event venues, ensuring Advertising was paid for etc. What I found most challenging was juggling between getting daily COD payments processed and getting Co-workers to ensure all details on Invoice was accurate to ensure payment authorisation by the Directors with no delay.

Willing to learn
Arriving at work there is no time for cofee or tea. On my feet up and early to do my walk thru in my warehouse or work enviroment to see if everything is up and running for the day.

I have learnt a few things from my company as I have moved three positions from being here , so I have learnt a lot about customers , sales, admin worI have learnt a few things from my company as I have moved three positions from being here , so I have learnt a lot about customers , sales, admin work, computer literacy, accounting and sales. I get along with my team mates and have really enjoyed my time here but unfortunately I feel that I need to grow more and this company can no longer off that to me. I find that this companys employees interests are no longer at heart and I want to find a company that looks after their employees

Learning opportunity & a time to grow
Assist with walk in clients, stock take, typing of documentations and screening of incoming calls. Booking of flights. Complete filing according to procedure. Invoicing, quotations & dealing with account queries, Debtors. Organizing deliveries, capture fuel consumption of truck. Complete purchase orders, petty cash & sales figures. Assist branch manager with budgets, branch over view reports, stock order & mark down material. Projects. General reception duties. Branch Manager assistant.
Pros: This is a great opportunity for me to grow
