Excellent learning curve

My usual work day is very busy, but flows well. I have my own office so therefore I do not get any distractions; as a result I am able to focus on my work load. I love my co-workers and receive many queries from the Depots and sub-depots on PIMS request, payment of corporate buildings and leases and meeting requests with service providers. The most enjoyable part of my work is when a lease is finally signed and all corporate buildings paid by Supply Chain Management its rewarding for me. There is no hardest part of my job except if my SCM department are not co-operating with me e.g. payments of corporate buildings, libraries, transport department & ESKOM or Project managing/building Manager for Braampark Forum 2 building with regards to Facilities Management and Maintenance. Pros Easy going management, very polite and happy people to work with Cons A little slow to receive results as SCM/Finance would lose important documents, too many processes

Pros: Great opportunity for intergration and promotion
Cons: SCM/Finance department being incopetent e.g loosing documents which is really frustrating

Challenging times

continuous daily changes of expectations resulting in frustration, as much as you plan your daily work but you hardly achieve 5 % of that. Dealing with high levels of ambiguity and lack of direction resulting in delayed decision making and progress to conclude tasks and inline set standards. The best attributes gained is to focus on the tasks at hand and focus on the positive outcome and build on good relations for support in order to achieve your goals. Learned to tap on your innovative mind and capitalize on my best strengths as a developer, learner, relator connectedness, ideation and focus to achieve my goals. I enjoy working in a harmonious environment that promotes good relationships, , innovation and supports individualism within teams. Most challenging in lack of leadership and direction, indecisiveness and working in highly unionized environment. secondly, lack of growth and support and autonomy to explore new ways to optimize performance.

Pros: Opportunity for career growth, promotion and global exposure
Cons: No recognition , no career growth and long working hour

Learning Opporunity

Working at JPC has been a learning opportunity because I had to learn and use more that my knowledge. I had to learn to build performance and relationship currency. e in some instances you have to gain buy in for projects to run smoothly which requires influence.
