Wanting to work at a mine

working from 5am to 14:30pm installing wiring and instruments on the glider and fault finding when there is something wrong with the installation i have a very good relationship with my co workers and with my employer the challenging part of my job is waiting for parts to be on time

Pros: new challenge

Something new

Jonker Sailplanes is an exceptional company that produces their own gliders from tail to nose. They work on a five day schedule, producing one fully prepared glider per week.

Pros: Bonus
Cons: Long overtime

Excellent development opportunities at the cutting edge of technology.

Working hours from 6:00 to 14:30 means that we miss traffic and have plenty of afternoon for the kids or various activities. Designing new aircraft, including tooling and processes, is exciting. But providing production support is tedious if the Manufacturing Organisation strays from the design. Otherwise, close working relationship between the departments.

Pros: Great learning opportunities for a diverse set of skills. Cutting edge design and manufacturing technology.
Cons: Low pay, uncompensated overtime expected from Company, few career advancement opportunities
