Great development opportunities ,

excellent development opportuities, perks very competitive, knowledge exchange programs with international sister companies , free internaction with senior management , inefficient accounts payable department, accounts receipting still problematic, performance review done on the basis of compliance, no follow through on key performance indicators during the course of the year only done at beginning of the year.

Great concrete experience

Quality control: Designing concrete mixes, Conducting Durability Tests, Conducting concrete strength tests, Conducting shrinkage tests and aggregate testing (grading, LBD, CBD, Water demand, Methylene blue tests) and Plant Audits. Working on 17025 test methods, making sure the lab has the necessary documentation and complying with the standards.

Pros: Chance to work in different projects
Cons: Learning in one part of the field

Six Sigma

While busy with my qualification, I found the importance of working as a team in order to complete a project with efficiency and accuracy. In doing so this allowed for building ones character and repo with fellow employees. Which results in success for all.

Pros: Opportunity for to grow ones knowledge, ever changing environment.

Learning curves

A typical day in the office would comprise of daily Sales Meetings,compiling daily reports,debt collection,office administration,internal sales etc. I have learnt a lot about the construction industry and that one needs to be accurate in every transaction as most of the time if not always sales come with a requirement that we meet supply specifications. I enjoy interacting with customer and converting walk-ins into actual sales.

Learning opportunities

Worked at Lafargeholcim on a contract basis to the last two years as accounts payable controller with less promotion and same hourly rate,but became confident/comfortable and good at what I do
