Sales & Customer Service

I work with walk in customers and customers who call in. I take orders, process them on the system and arrange for dispatch of stock. I work with operations, production, sales, accounts and dispatch departments. I have learnt how to service customers and how to go an extra mile. I enjoy roving solutions to customers on a daily basis and meeting and also exceeding set targets. The most challenging aspects of the job is to always make sure that there is always stock available and that customers always receive their stock on time

Pros: Lots of opportunity for growth
Cons: Having to most often work unplanned overtime

Great start for my career

Working at Lake was a great take off for my career path. I got along very well with my colleagues, I learned lot of skills especially in analysing, troubleshooting and making decisions. I enjoyed the fact that my superior's were always happy to assist an help us learn more from our work on daily basis. The constant challenge we had was having more orders that had to be finished on a shift and we always made sure that we meet our target

Pros: Great opportunity for learning new skills
Cons: Company was a bit limited to grow in my career path

I have learnt a lot tbrough this organization

I was exposed to quality control, assurance and suppliet quality assurance..GMPs. Team work is everything in this company, you are at your toes from morning till afternoon

Amazing opportunities

I have been at lake foods for almost a year and a half. I have learnt a lot and have been given exciting projects. No day is the same in the NPD field. I have been given the opportunities to show some of the biggest fmcg companies what I am worth and I am very thankful for what I have learnt. The only issue I have is that the growth compared to opportunities is not proportionate. I can land some big clients but it would not exactly indicate growth.
