Excellent Learning platform
I have learned so many procedures at this facility. it's a paediatric hospice. I am a shift leader at this organisation on my shift. daily duties are giving out medication, peg feeding, peg care, nasogastric tube insertion, nasogastric tube feeding, bathing of patient, wound care, passive and active exercises, feeling of patients on bipap machine, monitoring of patients on oxygen, and care for patients on palliative care. It's a very good facility to work at, as you learn many new procedures daily, with good colleagues to work along side. Most challenging aspect i came across was caring of a patient on a bipap machine as it was my first time working with such a condition. but I learnt many things with time, and ended up enjoying working with it. I enjoy most seeing my patient laughing and smilling, it feels very good and I feel like I am making a difference in someone else life.
Pros: great opportunity to learn.
Cons: everything it's on your shoulder as a shift leader.
