A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SHARON SCOTT

Ward rounds, filing, delivery of results, answering queries, dealing with difficult doctors; patients and staff, delegation, phlebotomy, meetings, interviews, turn around time; patient surveys; counselling patients/ staff; stock control, dealing with queries patients may have with their medical aids, banking. Learnt that to delegate does alleviate stress to a degree. Learnt to be more assertive Challenge is to rely on people to do the job as well as yourself. Managing staff can be difficult when the meaning and urgency of the job is not mutual Enjoyment of the job is almost every day, the adrenalin, the feeling of having had part of a patient's recovery. The ability to learn every day

Enrolled nurse with community experience

Enrolled nurses with a lot of energy friendly and helpful.phlabotomy skills including labeling specimens send to the lab on time checking of results and reporting the abnormal results to the clinician giving council and testing of HIV teaching about HIV helping with vital signs and family planning and wound dressings.

Training is being provide

Its a big company but from the department I am working in only certain people are recognized and they not doing the job right or meet the requirements
