My

My typical day inludes meetings to help workers settle into their roles and review their progress. I coordinate training and skills development the wellness program reports and use is monitored and checked on sa monthly basis. i also mange the employee rewards ans service awards programs i also do the full recruitment function from job spec reviews to inductions general HR queries. I have a good working relationship with my co-workers and the company culture is great people are kind and understanding.

Learning how to work as a group . And how team work is

It was so grate to work at Landis and gyr I was very enjoying it we used to work as a group and we where having good relationships towards each other .I was working 8hours a day there was night shift and day shift I worked all shift. I learn to work as a group .to love each other's. I learn even to manage my job time and my own time .

Excellent and learning

I was building meters3 phase meters,soldering pcb,testing and packing.assemble.find fault in meters and correcting the errow.i'm working with small components.we have group of different people at landis.we work as groups to complicate the line.f or the line to run we need 8-12 people in the line.so you can see i'm a team player.good communication.friendly as well.you don't have to take your personal things y o work because that could lead in making mistakes in the meters that we build.I have a great time at landis.

Learning

How much are we really suppose to earn?Do we even qualify for leave days or family responsibilities?lack of opportunity.all the time they bring new people from outsite for better position.no production candicates have ever got promotions even though we are having relevent qualifications.

Leaning experience

I work as a line operator at Landis and gyr.I'm soldering pcb boards,fix and replace any damaged components,I build electrical metering units.I trace faults,test meters.basic electrical duties.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: I can work in weekend and extra hours if needed.

They don't allow cell phones while on duty

Itit is a great big company to work with, just at some point of the will be no orders then there comes a problem they then lay off some people, I have been retrenched

Excellent learning curve for me

Landis and gyr is like you are at home, every one is friendly and willing to help you when you first start at the company,they are patient and encouraging.the manager is a people's person .there is no time you can feel left out. Coming to work ,we where taught how to work smart and reach our deadline and target in time,because time is very precious in the company . What I have learned in the company is good time management Planning your job Sharing opinions Helping one another(team work) Knowing the importance of customer services
