The Liberty Group Review
The Liberty Group is one that's built on strong values and individualism with a long serving workforce. Work relationships can be strained by the current culture of an unhealthy competition and silos. A typical day includes attending a few project meetings, but mainly working alone on my project deliverables. My relationship with co-workers is one of encouraging curiosity about our different roles to understand the interdependence in order to drive the value collaboration. What I currently enjoy the most is facilitating the team effectiveness workshops and seeing the appreciation of team members of their strengths as well as their realization of the value that they contribute to their team. I find breaking into territories most challenging.
Pros: Great line manager and growth prospects
Cons: Territorial behavior among co-workers

It is a great company to work. You have the flexibility to work different hours or work from home. The benefits are amazing especially the bank discounted interest rate it is a big saving for those that have a bond. The culture is very collaborative and family orientated. The open door policy is also great it allows for freedom and comfort among some leadership maybe not all.

Realized that I was good with people and can also work well alone.
I always have to have an open mind and willingness to assist with my colleagues as they come to me with a lot of queries, that’s an opportunity for me to provide training to individuals who ask questions or require assistance on the same things on a daily basis. I love provide excellent customer experience and being technical
Pros: I get to learn more as some of the questions I don’t have answers to so it’s an opportunity for me to find out
Cons: Sometimes my work only gets done after I’ve assisted the agents and that means working over lunch and after working hours

I come from a hospitality backround.
My day can be extremely busy most of the time because at an operational level in risk, my time is needed in sharing knowledge from a risk perspective to business. Also, I deal with Financial Advisors out in the field nationally and report to their Heads, where I deal with compliance matters within our processes. Risk assessments including monitoring conducted can be tedious due to gathering of information and interrogating it for clarity, before analysing and producing a report. I also handle disciplinary cases at HR/ER level as a chairperson within the company.
Pros: Possible growth and plenty to learn
Cons: Can be laid back and slow down your deliverables

Further education and training is fully paid for
We work normal 7.5 hours a day. We have a very good relationship with my coworkers and we assist each other where necessary I have learner to work in a team and to fully engage with my team members as well as creating my own diary. I enjoy the care we receive from the Employers especially now during Ccovid19, they have really showed us care in terms of working from home. The most challenging is when you have to attend to numerous queries from the FSCA due to the challenging times, however with a team like mine, we passed through it smoothly.
Pros: We are given an opportunity to study at any institutions of our choice at a company cost
Cons: We only experienced those when we strated working from home

Deliver training interventions on Induction Programme.
Deliver training interventions on Induction Programme for new Financial Advisors, from Sales Process, Product Knowledge (Risk and lnvestments), and Systems training. I work very well with my colleagues and management. Over the time I have been with Liberty, I have made strong relationships and friendships. The frustration is that the way the training programmes are structured, there is no enough challenge is there is a lot of repetition.
Pros: Limited scope of growth
Cons: Excellent working conditions
