: ASSISTING 2 LAWYERS

Working in my company is the most fulfilling job as I get to assist Attorneys with their admin work. I assist 2 lawyers with their work. Each Attorneys has about 220 files. Each day the attorney has to give me 10 file to work in 48hrs. That means I have 20 files a day to work in day and I should be done within 48hrs. The work include follow up with third party, outdating client on the progress of their matter. I also follow up with NCR, CCMA,OSTI and other ombudsman. I have a good relationship with all my co-workers, I am always make sure to keep a healthy relationship with them. I respect my Manager and I always carry out every instruction I am given urgently so. I have learnt a lot, as I am also studying my LLB degree, I have had an experience to deal with practical matters like divorce matters, criminal matters and well as labour matters. I can say I am more equipped than the time I joined them 4 January 2010.

Pros: The advantage is getting to experiance as an aspiring lawyer
Cons: Its being in a company for a long time. I need a new challenge and new environment

Learning curve

Legal advising has always been my passion so it is indeed a learning curve for me. Team is dynamic and very intelligent personalities Company believes in employer -employee relationships which are very healthy and efficient for the growth of employees and the company while maintaining a happy client.

Great start off job

This is a great company to get ones foot into the job market however it is not an institution where one can actually grow academically or from a career stand point. The staff are friendly and helpful. The work day is fun because one gets to engage with an array of different people and legal matters. The most challenging thing to deal with is the management and the manner in which decisions are taken

Pros: Great start off job to acclimatize to the employment enviroment
Cons: No growth, low salary, capricious and arbitrary decision making by management
