Exposure to various industries
Working for a liquidation firm has exposed me to various industries such as Mining, Construction , Auto Repairs and Marketing. Whenever a company is liquidated (irrespective of industry) I'm entrusted in investigating any irregularities or unlawful activities that the company in liquidation has been party to. One of the most important part of my Job is to investigate if there are any disposition or any assets that have been concealed.I have to compile a witness pack for the purposes of interrogating (at an enquiry) any party involved. At times we do continue with the trading activities of a company in Liquidation, of course with permission of the THE MASTER OF THE HIGH COURT. I also do debt collection if the company has any outstanding debtors. Through the above mentioned process, I get to understand how the entity was being operated and what are implication of the industry they are in.
Pros: Opportunity to learn various industries
Cons: Minimal Salary growth
