I oversee the entire HR function for a national company both at strategic and operational levels. I enjoy the fact that my days are normally varied because of this. I have built good relationships with the employees and external service providers. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others in order that they can develop. I am perfectionist and this can sometimes be a challenge. I also enjoy learning from others and believe that one can never know everything about a company. I am very flexible and thoroughly enjoy working with people.

Ability to give back to the community
The Job allows you to make an impact in peoples lives providingthem with a service they would otherwise not have access to. The results are immediate unlike in general medicine. Most of your time is occupied with doing elective surgical procedures Due to high work loads there tends to be a negative shift in life-work balance. There is also alot of travelling involved

Good learning experience
It iit is a poor working environment that has no direction or impact to employ. It takws long for the temporary staff to be permanent and we work long hours under the strenuous situation. Salaries are at a minimum of 2500 inclusive of overtime and no night duty allowance as we worked till 00:00 ar times ees

Great international learnings
I manage the HR and Payroll functions. I am a member of the Executive Leadership Team. We have responsibilities to South Africa and the UK global functions. My day is varied across all functions at both strategic and operational levels. I have built good relationships with the employees and external service providers. I thoroughly enjoy people interaction and I aspire to develop as many many subordinates and other employees as I can. The most challenging part of this position is bringing synergy between South Africa and the UK, i.e. getting the UK to understand the South African requirements and legislation. I travel across South Africa on a regular basis to ensure that HR is functional. I represent the company externally.

Cons: High quantities of administration and mundane tasks
