Gaining Experience

My current company is a very small company where everyone know one another thus allows flow of information. We get to be exposed to most of the things within the company,for example we schedule tasks,monitor drive cam, discipline drivers when necessary.We do not work in silos which means there is no boredom. We have a very good relationship with one another including management.Within the company I have learnt to work without supervision since I work night shifts with about 15 trucks on the road,and I have to make decisions of which I need to do my report to management the next morning using dash board. The most challenging aspects of the job is long hours of work.We work 12 hour shift with 6 consecutive days on shift and only off 3 days.

Pros: Good relationship between staff

Have worked in different positions in the transport industry from Human resources admin

I am an exprience fleet controller, have worked in different positions in the transport industry from Human resources admin to fleet management. I have basic management knowledge as i have been into operations management and assistant to the depot manager.

Pros: great learner and also a training facilitator
Cons: able to work long hours and holidays

Gaining Experience

Th Job can be very much stressing at times Getting hold of drivers can be a hustle especially on weekends i have a good relationship with the drivers and everyone else at the office i have learnt quit alot about logistics and how it operates aswell as how a truck functions and how to solve problems when a driver is having challenges at the customer or having truck breakdowns i enjoy working with drivers who take the instruction without questioning it challenging aspects of this job is when the driver refuse to take the instruction from the controller

Have leant a lot ,especially with regards to the petrollium industry

My working day starts at 07;00 am to 1700hrs but depending on work load , l can work well up until midnight all until the following morning l basically do have a busy schedule since l am the senior Mechanic responsible for all mechanical day to day checks on all company fleet.l am a friendly and reliable guy who is willing to learn more from my work mates and also give back the best that l know to the company and l do enjoy working as a team .the most challenging thing is to work late the whole night through and sometimes until the following morning.

Good learning curve

Working in this company is good for learning and getting experience. However, employees are always put in a position where they could have burnout due to long working hours and less rest days. Furthermore, employees are not compensated for overtime as well as working on holidays and weekends.

Excessive pressure

my day normally starts at 8 am,and depending on work load can go even after midnight.l had good relationship with my co workers , from management , l have gained enough experience especially in the fuel industry .
