New commercial venture, challenging and exciting. Steap learning curve.

In my current role, I am responsible for the Northern-, Western- and Eastern Cape regions’ Commercial development for a petroleum company. Given my experience, this enables me to flex core capabilities such as Leadership, Skills development of new agents, negotiating, coaching, delegating, customer management, training, commercial acumen and general business development fundamentals in my day-to-day activities. I enjoy being challenged, a steep learning curve and approaching various situations from different angels to obtain success.

Pros: Broad commercial client base. Setting own targets and commision structures. Meeting new people. Negotiating and closing deals. Learning something new every day. Training and guiding new agents.
Cons: Setting up new infrastructure takes time. Incidental waiting periods for HQ approval or resource support
