Good company to work for to get experience

My day goes as follows : Registration of new shipments on Megatrac clearing and forwarding shipments Cargo dues on Transfer system Capturing shipping line invoices on CargoLite Tracking shipments Arranging delivery of containers for FCL or LCL Booking shipments with overseas agents Requesting of ANF's and landside and freight charges from shipping lines and Co Loaders Invoicing Shipments (Clearing and forwarding) Create proforma invoices for the COD clients Liaise with clients over the phone Status Reports Requesting import documents CTOS Check up on Navis releases I get along well with my co-workers I Love my job but I don't get paid enough for what I do on a daily basis

No Growth

An awesome company to work at for the first few months, a work day consists of discrimination , victimization and next level gossiping among co workers, I have learnt alot of new things due to my eagerness to take on new challenges, I mostly enjoy that the shipping industry changes on a daily basis, working under a line manager that has a personal vendetta against me was the most challenging

Cons: overworked, underpaid

It was an excellent start to my career

It was an excellent start to my career but I feel like I am stuck in a loop as I have progressed tremendously.I feel there is not growth for me even though I basically run the day to day operations within the warehousing and transport section.You can not be running warehousing/transport and other outsourced warehouses and yet still be considered a warehouse administrator.That is a definite career spoiler and killer in my eyes

Pros: He company is hand on and takes a lot of interest towards their employees
Cons: No opportunity for any sort of promotion or growth to my career

Excellence in computer and administration

I am married and a mother of one child. I am always willing to learn more andto give more then what is expected I am always open for new ideas and everything I do iWork do it more than 100%.

Pros: Willing
Cons: No working weekends and over Christmas and new year.

Apportunities to learn

I have enjoyed working at my company , I have been given a lot of apportunities , been sent to training courses and given a lot of apportunity to grow . I started at the company 10 years ago as a tea/cleaning lady and within a year I was a filing cleek , because I was always willing to learn I moved to being a receptionist and then moved to the finance department where am currently at .

Pros: Apportunities to grow and great management team
Cons: Salary not enough
