Excellent learning potential

Lots of speciality experience gained both on systems and technical areas. I was also involved in a project SAP team to quality check system errors regarding purchasing to invoicing. Buying in a specialized field of highly technical and innovative equipment mainly valves. Buying internationally and locally as well as office expenditure. Company culture was excellent. Team worked in harmony. Lots of extensive training received on systems as well as in the purchasing field. Target driven as well, environment was highly pressurized close to month ends.

Pros: Worked on my own with hardly any supervision
Cons: long travelling

Workshop work, Over all pumps, Worked 3 weeks shut very high pressure environment.

Come in at 6:30 am clock at 7:00 am. Sometimes there would be a morning meeting we had a shut plan so meetings weren't that necessary. Removal of the vehicles from the workshop before we either carry on with previous work from the day before or be would start with new valves. Sometimes valves would come in then you would proceed to log damage by taking photos. After that, we would split the actuator from the valve next we would take the actuator apart same for the valve they get overalled by replacing old seals rusted lever arms, etc. The responsibility of the valve technicians are to overall the valves from 2 inch to 74 was our biggest this shut. The 180 valves are done over a 3 -4 week period. For this period I was a contractor there are no options for this.

Pros: New experiences, New knowledge,Work experience.
Cons: Long hours,contract

Historically a good solid company with good products. Recent economic climate lead to reduction in staff which lead to lower service levels to clients. The challenge is to get the company back on track in current economic conditions to meet demands of customers and retain market share

Pros: Good products
Cons: management and leadership eroded
