My current role

It is difficult working here. The management is very autocratic. Change is very difficult here and change normally happens and the staff will bear the brunt. Management is not honest. To grow, to get a bursary, one will always be rejected.

Friendly staff

This place has friendly people. Learnt that not everyone in the workplace wants you to grow. If there is no growth then find a better place that suits you and your needs. Communication is key to every organisation. If there is poor or no communication then there will be havoc. its important to upskill your self so that you do not become obsolete.

Good communication skills and I capable of working under pressure

I have gain limited experience with desktop computers, Printers, Wifi Scanners, Wedge Scanners and Avaya phones as a Desktop technician Intern for 4 Months at Homechoice Distribution Center I am confident I can be an asset to the team, I would like to gain more experience in Desktop Support environment, I feel that the opportunity would develop me to a professional Technician until i further my studies.

Senior Legal Advisor

I work within the corporate finance team that reports to Group Finance. I work closely with the deal teams, the credit, tax and treasury teams. I structure transactions from a legal perspective whilst ensuring that the business requirements are met. I often work with external legal counsel to ensure that the transactions implemented are sound from a legal perspective.

Pros: Good work life balance. Good opportunities for on the job learning and exposure to high level strategic transactions.
Cons: Not much room for promotion or a better salary

Fast paced and diverse

Fast paced and at times frustrating as one at some stage needs that sense of stability. I am yet again going through restructuring. I have had 9 managers in 3 years. I have learned a lot though, I must say - political savvy, my networking skills and relation building has grown immensely. I have administered 3 Professional Programmes to date, the Actuarial, SAICA & CFA.

A great learning opportunity

A typical day at work would be having a meeting with my colleagues on how to treat clients and strategies on how we move forward if however a mistake is done. The support I get from coworkers is one of the things that make this job abit more easier. I have learnt how in corporate you operate as this is my first job. I enjoy the culture of the company.The challenging part about this job is getting clients.
