Treat people with different back grounds as individuals.
I was managing 42 people based at 3x offices Mpumalanga I had to manage all the operational matter as well as admin and HR related matters. We rendered a 24/7 service to Vodacom which meant that I have never switched off my cell phone for the past 10 years. The challenge was to keep people motivated and to keep the client happy. Peoples relationships both with the client and with employees were of utmost importance.
Pros: I have learned a lot of taking responsibility on all aspects of the company
Cons: Taking calls 24/7 from both the client and employees has put a lot of strain on our household.
