A place for change

The most challenging aspect of the position is change management. getting individuals and management to think outside the box and notice that there is a better way of doing the same task that saves time and increases productivity. A typical day would consist of compiling reports as well as purchasing functions. Supervision of staff and projects. External communication with suppliers and contractors.

Excellent learning

It's very great. I work from 8-4:30 weekdays and 8-1 on Saturdays. I have a good relationship with all staff members and we respect one another. I learnt to be professional, organised, accurate, etc. I enjoy working individually and as a team if necessary. There's non challenges because we help one another when any problem arrises.

Excellent,learning curves

I hII work 6 days per week.and my colleagues like to work with me because I treat them as a human beig.I also learn a lot to them and there's a lot of challenges I face with every day at work because we deal with a customers.sometimes they do not see things in a equal way.but at really I like to work with people becausr of my pattion that I have have a good relationships with my co workers. Everything i do I make sure that I've done properlye a good

I have learned how to work in a team as well as an individual

I have learned that its important to plan for the job before it done , when working as a team its important to discuss everything about the job that would help every one to be clear of what is happening in the field . To plan and discuss job description will help to finish the work in time and do the quality work . I have learned how to work in a team with different people as well as work as individual . the most challenging aspects of the job was by the time we have to do the new installation of electricity on the area where there is no power at all .underground faults where we have to trench a long distance an very dip for cable that was the most challenging because the place have stones and rocky.

GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE THUS FAR

I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS A TYPICAL DAY INVOLVES ALOT OF RUNNING AROUND BUT AT THE SAME TIME I AM ABLE TO LEARN DIFFERENT THINGS ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS. I HAVE LEARNT THE IMPORTANCE OF ALWAYS PAYING ATTENTION TO DETAIL, HOW TO PREPARE CERTAIN DOCUMENTS AND REPORTS AND ALSO DATA CAPTURING I ENJOY INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE, LEARNING NEW THINGS EVERYDAY MY JOB DOES NOT HAVE A CHALLENGING ASPECT AT THE MOMENT

Excellent facilitation of team building exercises. Healthy working environment

Great co-workers, always eager to help you learn. Good working space, very clean and very healthy. Learnt a lot, working there helps to improve my team working as well as communication skills

Mentorship programs were available constantly

Working at Msunduzi Municipality was a great learning experience since i worked with the public and i got to learn more about customer service. Career upgrade was the first priority that Superiors had in mind

A tipical day at work

I start work at 8 in the morning and we have a small prayer. We sit in an open space, where is eight of us. Each performing different roles that are linked. I havd gained a lot of experience in peoples skills and I learned to deal with different personalities and approches when it comes to end users and our clients. I have this great fulfillment in finishing my tasks within time. I however still have a void that i need to fill in terms of growth.

Pros: I have learnt a lot and i still continue to learn
Cons: No opportunities for growth

It was good working there

i was working as a desktop supporter helping users when they have computer problems , also assist when there is a network problem, i also worked on a help desk asaisting users answering calls and do so troubleshooting on the phone due to the users problem... i learn a lot on how to work with people , that have different attitude towards my work experience.... i enjoyed working there a lot , i faced few challenges when i was new but it passes when i was used to work there , i was so nice working on the municipality.
