Multichoice SA Reviews

Excellent learning Curve and Career growth.

Multichoice is a dynamic working environment. My typical work day is 80% Meetings and 20% Admin. Multichoice is an Organisation based on Team Work, work is done from one department to another so you need strong team to support you and good relationship within other departments. Communication is really vital especially if you work with Projects, everyone needs to be in the same space and if not, you'll learn the hard way when you don't meet your targets dates. What i enjoy the most is a smooth running of the project with challenges that will bring out the best in you. Completing a project is one of the best milestone you can ever achieve and build a positive reputation within the workforce. Most challenging aspects of the job is starting a project that the team members are not playing the ball and not seeing the main goal of success.

Pros: Great Opportunity for growth.
Cons: Long working hours with team members that are not a team

Excellent learning curve

During the past seven years, I have been promoted to increasingly responsible positions within Multichoice SA, serving as a Customer Service Representative, acting Supervisor, Business Desk Analyst, facilitator and Customer Relations Consultant (my current role). Throughout my tenure with Multichoice, I have built lasting customer relationships, salvaged key accounts, strengthened customer loyalty, and shared my expertise with my fellow staff members. Regarded as a proactive problem solver and liaison between cross-functional business units and high-value client accounts, I am passionate about serving customers with excellence. Achievement highlights: My customer service management experience is reinforced by a qualification in Customer Care, proficiencies in CRM database systems and fluency in most South African languages.

Pros: Great learning and career-building opportunity
Cons: Constantly changing shifts

Excellent opportunity to continue and grow my career in the corporate world.

Was always looking forward to a new day, which meant to me an opportunity to learn something new. Had an excellent relationship with my co workers with professional integrity. Have learn that as you grow at work there are things you need to will need to place outside your inner circle. Working hard ,independently and meet new people. What I used to find challenging at work is colleagues that are not team players nor participants.

Pros: Ready for the growth and wholeheartedley need a job of this type of specification.
Cons: Definetely puttng in a extra effort even if it means long hours of work.

On the job review

Relationship with co-workers are good, but dependent on my customers and the requirements from them. I learnt to speak up and stand your ground on requesting information a bit more convincing is required to get information. I enjoy the culture of the media organisation. The actual work place is an inviting environment to work in. The most challenging would be that my job is dependent on the request of information from other business units for consolidation and analysis. The systems which are non existent or very poor by any standard.

Pros: Great building and atmosphere to work in.
Cons: No opportunity for promotion, just went through a restructure. Long hours during the year due to no systems being available.

Dealing with different technical and billing queries from customers. Resolving queries within 15 minutes on a Live Chat platform. Dealing with 3 queries at the same time. The position requires multitasking and focus.

Pros: None
Cons: Working on all public holidays and weekends

MCSA is a great company to work for, however line managers and HOD's often ruin the experience.

Typical work day depends on the demand and current projects. Relationship with co-workers is okay... I have learnt a lot I enjoy the perks the most stakeholder management can be a bit of a challenge.

Pros: Always in the know of whats current in terms of TV shows and trends in technology
Cons: Line managers and HOD's can stagnate your growth.
