My job

My job is kind of stresfull and hard work because one needs to be focused when working on the till due to shorts nd overs your money needs to balance at all times,a typical work day I would say is unpacking of stock being on the till at the same time as well as merchandising the stock on the floor and most of all keeping customers happy,my relationship with my co-workers are sometimes irritating because they can become to much at times it has its highs and lows,I actually enjoy being on the till and interacting with the customers,the most challenging aspect of my job is when the store is quite busy and the store needs to be cleaned before going home you need to work around the customers

To be focus and well organized

I have learned so many things ever since I joined the Pick n pay company. I always set my goals for a day.I have a good relationship with my colleagues, we understand and respect each other work. One of the things I have learnt is to be panctual and professional and through that I have gained a lot of experience, How to accommodate different character and adjust to them.I enjoy working with people ,to be an asset into a company.To Run Business and to offer the best quality customer service.It not easy to run a big shop with different costumers and workers.I have to be calm and focus everyday not to panic when I encounter a problem .

Greate place to gether information and necessary skills

Working at pick n pay its a good for matriculates who are still searching for better jobs, i work with minimum staff but very exciting,on a typical day will be folding clothing and working at the tills and working hours are too long and salary its not guranteed because of changing schedule, most challenging aspect of the job you have to deal with difficult customers.

Pros: Opportunities are there but people who are above miss treat their positions
Cons: Very long working hour and low pay rate

Excellent customer service

I have enjoyed working at Pick n pay clothing store. I've learned to deal with different people. Customers are different every day I learn to deal with them in different ways. Gaining knowledge from the team. Working with good attitude everyday is the best thing to do. Even if I come across a customer who don't take a no as an answer I try to calm down the customer and explain store principles. It has been a great journey and experience.

Good company

Realable person i can put 100 % effort on every task i'm given and i can be trusted and i am pro active i love challenges i easly adapt to new environment and i'm customer minded and i have willness

Verry good customer service experience

Good working environment, team work. Long worjing hours but reasonable because there is shift changing, customer service is very important since i work with customers everyday, meeting new people, being a cashier.

Great growth but i want to grow more

I start work at 7:30 finishing admin jobs then staff comes at 8:30 taking floats store opens at 9 , banking , opening of merchandise ,cleaning of floor cashing up cashiers( Staff) close shop . Next dsy same thing.

Pros: Fulfilling targets and finishing all job requirements on time
Cons: Longs hours and not enough day offs

Good communication skills

It's a 8hours day, doing merchandise, stock control, sales, cashier and customer services. We work very well with my co-workers as a team. I have learned so much from my co-workers and my experience, I have learned skills like communication skills, customer services skills but I enjoy customer services the most. My challenge is to be firm with my clients because you find difficult people sometimes that are just there to test your character but neither the less I enjoy them.

Not going anywhere

For me it's not really a challenging job,i don't see myself grow in the company as opportunities ain't offered. I want to see myself driving my own car,having my own house in 5years to come but if I continue with this company I won't go anywhere
