It's a usual thing that I get to work freshly minded to prepare our menu for the day, am an open person with good character to the coworkers. I have learnt that a person is treated as I want to be treated. I enjoy being at the kitchen because kitchen feels like a home to me, with all the elders and age mates around the most challenging aspects of the workplace are people with bad attitude and behavior around coworkers and guests.

Excellent learning
my relationship with coworkers is professional; and i enjoy doing my work and making sure its done in time. the most challenging thing is dealing with guests who do not understand my language or English this is the most difficult thing as we cannot communicate. during the day the hotel gets busy that there are more guest coming in it makes my job very hard. i have learnt that more work requires more energy and good strategy to finish the work.

Excellent learning curve
Very good working conditions with a good atmosphere and a very good team work excellent life skills, self respect,respect for human dignity and best client service being tought to every one in the property actually a very good experience to carry over.

Excellent experienced gained from working here.
During my two years of working for Protea Hotels I have learned so much about the hospitality industry that I never even thought I would learn. Working with the front desk team helped me to step out of my comfort zone and learn guest service delivery at its best.

I’m one individual that loves exceeding Guest or Clients expectations
Our hotel is one very busy hotel, one has to adapt with the work load and pressure I work with amazing people, staff is verry friendly at all times yes at times thing around the hotel it not always happy go lucky but one thing I’ve learned is that a person should always see a way out to solve a problem and lean from what has happened. I must I’ve learned so much around the hotel as a whole from all departments. I really enjoy working in a enthusiastic eniromemt where I will always learn new things, interacting with Guest it Clients I what I love at most.
Pros: You become more independent due to the work load and pressure and able to handle different situation one encounters
Cons: Working hours are reasonable and does accommodate oneself

Excellent Servi i just need a change of scenery There are great co-workers and i have a great relationship with them What i have learnt is that no matter how bad your day is you should always treat employees and clients with respect I enjoy holidays because that's when we get most clients and visitors The most challenging aspects of the job is dealing with different kind of people with different personalities ce cellent

Dip occupational health and safety
I have worked at Protea hotel as a receptionist in Richards bay i then got a promotion then went to reservation. I then found another job in Durban at Andaluz hotel i worked there for 1 solid year as a reservationist and reception manager. Then again i switched careers and i went into the call center department i was working for an overseas company called talk talk in the disconnections department.I really enjoy helping people it and being around people as i am a bubbly and out going person
