Selling advertising space to medium sized companies; networking and securing appointments with decision makers; identifying sponsors/contributors that are able to provide the station with content that suits the profile of listeners's interests and needs; putting tailormade proposals together; ensuring timeous execution of administrative tasks to meet deadlines ; setting up meetings with possible contributors and program managers; writing advertisement copy; handle correspondence and admin related tasks. I enjoy meeting various interesting people who have something of value to offer to the world and to be able to give them a platform to share that value. The most challenging aspect is securing sponsorship and long term contracts.

Pros: I learn a lot every day about various businesses; I am able to work independently.
Cons: I only get renumerated for sales and not for the important task of finding contributors who offer content value to the station but not necessarily sponsor their own programs. I have strong organising skills that I would like to be re umetated for.
