A typical day includes remaining professional, collaborating with different departments and sectors of company across the continent and sharing knowledge, "copying with pride". Through out quarterly inhouse staff socials we get to mingle and interacts on a chilled vibey setting while getting to know each other away from our desks. My knowledge of the industy and marketing has grown as I have taken on a role of digital marketing and made it my own within my department in a short space of time. Reed does give one a platform to learn more and use knowledge learnt to organise better shows. No idea is silly which allows for platform to learn, make mistakes while growing. Despite the family unit one enjoys, renumeration and financial growth tends to be limited which can motivate a need to move to greener pastures.

Fast paced environment with excellent learning opportunities

Fast-paced environment with excellent learning opportunities. I have learned the importance of planning, project management, revenue generation strategies and how to conduct myself in a Fast-paced environment with excellent learning opportunities. I have learned the importance of planning, project management, revenue generation strategies and how to conduct myself in a very formal work environment (due to a particular project, as the events industry is generally a little more informal). I enjoy the challenges and pushing myself to continue learning. Very formal work environment (due to a particular project, as the events industry is generally a little more informal). I enjoy the challenges and pushing myself to continue learning.

Pros: Excellent opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills
Cons: Very long work hours and an extremely heavy workload, even by event standards
