Working for Rio Tinto has been my most rewarding working experience so far.

- I have found it very rewarding teaching the people of Mongolia. - My National Mongolian colleagues have accepted me well and they are a delight to work with. - Coming to Mongolia has taught me many things particularly getting along with people of different culture as there are many Nationalities present on the Mine Site. - The thing that I had to adapt to most was the extreme weather conditions particularly the could winter temperatures.

Pros: The opportunity to gain Mining experience will further enhance my employability
Cons: Having to be away from home and the long working hours.

Excellent learning curve

Hard work, constant changes, one needs to be very adaptive and responsive to change. Willing and capable to work hard and at all times. Must be flexible and willing to loose arguments.

Cons: Very little room to grow

Great Flexible organisation

Fantastic Company to work for Enjoyed the flexibility of the company from labour relations to section 197 and section 189 the challenge about the work is my reporting structure

Pros: Worked in different roles with HR started as an HR administrator and grew from there

Great employer

Rio Tinto is an amazing company to work for. I have learnt a lot in the six months I have been there. It is an environment that needs you to be very alert, pay attention to detail and negotiate hard with suppliers, which means as a Procurement officer, I have to keep up with the market and know the indices that contribute to price amendments often requested by suppliers. Rio Tinto is an very conducive environment to work in, the management and colleagues are very supportive and we work as a team for a common objective for the company. We are led by leaders and not managers because there is no micro-management, but rather you as an individual are trusted with the professionalism of managing your work and time.

Cons: Not much room for growth

Manage and Leading a team

I have vast number of experience in leadership and managing the team in different sectors. I am willing to learn more so as to grow on my career. Making different in an organization is one of my strengths and building a team that can perform to met company KPI's.
