Excellent exposure and learning curve

I have learned proper communication skills within the organisation and to speak confidently with my superiors.i enjoyed obtaining the quotations from the suppliers the ability to interact with them in terms of negotiating the quotes and also assisting the internal customers with what they need the procurement department to buy for them.

Cons: not given enough tasks to challenge myself

I learned a lot from this company, and I did very well considering the short time frame I was there

My job entailed staying in contact with suppliers on a daily basis, negotiating prices, ensuring the stock levels are maintained, developing BBBEE suppliers, complying with procurement procedures.Maitaining relationships with suppliers, identifying new sourcing opportunities. Implementing agreed pricing, ensuring we purchase the right quality at the right price.

Pros: A great learning curve
Cons: Long travels hours
