Overcoming challenges

I am a lab analyst and shift leader at my current job. I have 5 assistants that prepare samples for me to test and I have to supervise each of their work stations. I work in a plant environment so therefore have to adhere to NOSA standards and regulations. I continuously have to ensure that working conditions are safe and maintained in a good and clean state. We do thorough investigations on potential safety problems and downtime issues that may arise. I have experienced the challenges that come with working in a team and having difficult subordinates but through it have learnt that leading by good example can lead to a good attitude change within the team. Meetings helped with achieving trust enough for them to open up and share work issues that were previously not resolved (before my arrival) and we managed to actually solved some of them which reassured their confidence in me.

Serving customers in friendly and polite way

I was unpacking and pricing the garments. Merchandising and display the clothes in the shop. Serving customers in friendly and polite way at all times. Receiving payment from customers for goods sold, issue receipt and place money for goods sold in the till. Assist in keeping the shop clean ans tidy at all times. Opening and Closing of premises as required. Stock control and counting of stock when required. Put the cash up on the safe.

Pros: I work everyday. my relationship is very good with my co-workers. I learn a lot from them to assist customers in a friendly and polite way. I enjoy assisting customers making sur they are happy. The challenges its when working underpressure on big day and attend to different customers at the same time.
Cons: I do work extra days. im always willing and available.
