I have learned a lot in supply chain

my typical work for the day I send out the RFQ's to the different suppliers and receive the quotes , do evaluation reports and award the supplier checking their BEE levels and give them points according to BEE and their bidding prices. my relationship with co-workers is very good we interact with each other very well, their very supportive , their easy to be approached , I learn a lot from them everyday, not only work related but life in general it feels so good to be next to them. I have learnt to interact with many different people, suppliers, create purchase orders, negotiate prices, its quite a good things being in supply chain. I enjoy issuing out the RFQ and receiving the quotations evaluated them until I create purchase order and send back to the winner bidder. most challenging aspects is when you get PA01 that needs specialized skills its very hard to get suppliers but at the end I do get the suppliers through my hard work, researching in the internet.

Pros: it looks like i can get a chance to be permanent in my position since am still an intern through my hard work.
Cons: as an interns we not allowed to work overtime, if it was by me i was going to go extra mile by working extra hours

I have learned a lot in supply chain

1.We send out RFQ's and advertise tenders, evaluate reports, negotiate, appoint suppliers, create purchase orders 2.The relationship is very good with co-workers even though sometimes we debate but a good one on work related things. 3. 3.1. Work- I have learnt to compile RFQ document and send to suppliers, wait for response and do evaluation report, evaluate with BSEC members if there is functional and mandatory, create purchase orders, appoint, negotiate with suppliers. 3.2. Environment- I have learnt to interact with different people of different cultures and beliefs and learnt how to copy when I am near them. 4. Interacting with Bsec members when evaluating a tender or RFQ 5. Negotiating for discounts from suppliers it looks like a big job because most thinks they got the tender, whereas we are negotiating with all of them before we can appoint. looking for suppliers if the project needs specialized skill it’s also a challenge.
