Life at Shado

Shado is an excellent company to work for as exposed to many different opportunities and always learning new skills. I love everything about my job and have learnt so much this past four years. My main role is trend forecasting, buying and development, but I am also part of the visuals team, social media team and marketing team. I also had the opportunity to do some TV for a few months, which really helped boost my confidence and break out of my shell. So i am always grateful for all the opportunities given. The most challenging part is getting by with the low salary, that is basically the only negative thing at Shado

Pros: Great experience and exposure
Cons: Long working hours, lots of work, not able to survive on low salary

It was a great experience and exposure

I enjoyed working at the company but their were no growth or benefits, I gained lots of exposure in footwear and handbags, I travelled to China since 2012,i have excellent relationships with suppliers and able to negotiate terms of deposit but also pricing, i dealt with online stores, worked in marketing, able to manage social media, i am eager to learn and up for any challenge, i can handle a team, pressure and I'm organized.

Pros: Great exposure to different parts of the business
Cons: Working on weekends and after hours

Current Job environment

I have a very good relationship with my co-workers. I try to keep it as professional as possible and try to follow the companies rules. I have learned a lot working for this current company and have experienced a lot too. Managing different types of people especially. Some whom don’t see change as a good thing but in order to progress one must accept change. What I enjoy about working for this company is that I get to meet new people every day and every day there is a challenge, which is exciting and helps me to push myself further in order to complete the daily tasks at hand

Cons: No room for growth
