Excellent typing skills, good communication with debtors, good negotiations.
When i first work at Sigma SA the Company name was Sanclare Financial it was a small Company where there's 2 departments, UK department and SA department, and I was working at SA department, it was fun, teaching target, making more ptp's a day having teamwork gatherings and lots of stuff..., the relationship with the co-workers was awesome,we would call meetings with our team leader discussing on how to make target per day, how to convince our debtors to pay their bills...and what i have learnt at Sigma is to how you can building a relationship with your debtor in terms of paying, listening to their situation of paying. The most things that I enjoyed being at Sigma is being probing to debtors, showing them how to settle their account in a few months time. The most challenging part of the job is to understand the debtors situation if she or he's unemployed and debtors must make the payment by the end of the week.
Pros: Great leaning skills
Cons: Long hours

Getting your foot in the call centre door
Very militant operations. Call centre vibe is non existent. Remuneration is below the industry average. There is opportunity for growth, however, its as if when a new position becomes available, someone has already been earmarked for the position, so applying is rather pointless as they already know who it is they want on the position. The management team are not for the advisors. My belief is that the advisors in this company are the people who make this business work. If management isn't there on a given day, the business can continue. Yet if there are no advisors production will stop. Advisors are not valued. Salies are allowed to be decreased when it's already meagre.
Pros: Only Pro is that they accept candidates with no matric so it's easy to get your foot in the proverbial call centre door
Cons: It's like being at am army boot camp...mentally.

Definitely a learning curve and stepping stone
The company was good for experience but not for a stable career. The company lacks professionalism and growth. Unfortunately it's not what I invision my future career to be.
Pros: Experience and knowledge
Cons: Poor management, poor quality, non efficient and no growth

Excellent learning curve.
My work life is great. I work in amazing work environment with an great team. The best thing about the job is the outstanding team dynamic, where regarding the customer queries we share our ideas as to what is working for us and what isn't. And if there is ever a time where either of us are dealing with a difficult query, there are always others in the team who are willing to support and offer assistance. The thing I enjoy most about the job is the engaging with customer because I have a strong passion for providing quality customer service and because I am such a people's person it allows me to excel in my job. Sometimes the queries are challenging and complex with which give me a chance to also learn new things. The challenging part is sometimes I wish to do more to assist the customer, or get the issue resolve quicker. But I can only assist to a certain extent.
Pros: Gave me the platform to do whAt I do best which is engaging with customers hand-in-hand providing quality customer service.
Cons: No commission

Great experience
I have learned and grow during my time at Sigma, when i started i didnt have any experience within a call centre and given that experience to push myself being the shy person i was opened a whole new enviroment for me, and im truelly greatful for the opportunity to grow with the company. I enjoyed interacting the most with my colleages and even with customers over the phone, i love solving problems and there for you need to listen very carefuly to the person's needs and building that relationship.
Pros: Great opportunity to grow
Cons: Salary

The Living dead
Loads of potential however there are not opportunities to grow further. The courses that one was sent on was amazing however you had a ton of work to do as if you were the SDM of the department. Your team and your colleagues are the only people that keep you sane as we had an amazing bond.
Pros: Amazing colleagues
Cons: Salary is not market related, internal promotion is very scarce, operational management is inconsistent, there's no transparency
