A world class company to work for.

Work shifts, As shift training Officer i conduct meeting with learners before the shift starts. Training interventions starts, after that learners are placed in different plants for practical exposure where assessments will follow . This is where interaction amongs myself and clients arises because i place learners under supervision of other co-workers and this is where feedback is given to me about theoretical training that i have rendered. Working with people is my most passion and i enjoy it since i believe it is a previllage to can share/transfere skill. Getting positive feedback from learners themselves and their supervisors motivates me. The challenges that one encouters is language barrier eg, english being medium of instruction is not always understood by everyone and that is where as facilitator it is an advantage if you are multilingual because you accomodate all the learners.

Pros: Lots of opportunities for growth even for other departmemts in the company.
Cons: Long working hours.

. Implementing Refurbishment Program based on TCO, OEM and Mining Value Chain alignment

In my 4 year career at Sishen I have been exposed to various duties. These include Housing Maintenance, JIG and DMS Process Plants, Refurbishing Workshops and HME workshops responsible for Maintenance of 200+ HME. BIGGEST achievements thus far 1. Making the Refurbishing Workshop a profit centre. 2. Implementing a Life Cycle Refurbishment Program based on Cost of Ownership, OEM and Mining Value Chain alignment. BAD: poor work life balance as there is an expectation that work is done after hours. GREAT: exposure to new technologies and productivity platforms.

Pros: Great opportunity to break my ceiling
Cons: Work life balance
