Excellent learning curve for young technicians and artisans
i have learnt Good interpersonal communication skills, great team work and have a good relationship with other co workers.On a monthly basis i get a chance to do power analyzing in the building and substations and also get a chance to be part of a monthly inspection on transformers and generators. I enjoy learning and having to be part of projects initiated, we had a ups project that was going on and i was part of the team making sure everything is running smoothly.
Pros: being sent to college for basic hand skills and also attending first aid course

New experiences learnt
As a supervisor, my typical day at work involves planning and organizing security related activities for the day. This includes gathering information about activities expected in the Bank and deploying my manpower to cater for such activities. Ensuring compliance with security regulations is one of my key deliverables in terms of my performance plan. I enjoy good working relations with my co-workers. Since joining the Reserve Bank, I have grown into management level as I have acted in the position of Head of Protection on numerous occasions. I enjoy the exposure that comes with my position as no two days are the same when working with people.
Pros: There is an opportunity to learn continuously.
Cons: With the new changes, ther is less opportunity for promotions.

Excellent learning curve
Was nice working with different kinds of people and different characters learn from each an every person. The company was taking care of its employees. I had a good relationship with my colleagues. I learned how to react in an awkward situation or in a difficult challenging day.I learned how to deal or come up with solutions in a bad situation.It wasn't exactly the challenge because I was enjoying myself knowing that I have made an impact from my side to the company if we are short staff but still have to reach the daily department target.

Typical day at work
We work in the regulatory space. Interact a lot with various risk support departments as well as external clients which I enjoy. The challenges I am facing currently is that I am an Internal Auditor by heart and enjoy thinking out the box trying new things and currently it is not that easy in the regulatory space.

Excellent exposure in central bank
Extensive exposure in financial markets, financial services,manufacturing of banknotes and coin, captive insurance company, SAMOS payments system, portfolio management, government auctions and Reserve Bank auctions.
Pros: exposure to all departments, good work life balance, good culture,fairly remunerated

Experts in Banking supervision
Good organization driven by regulatory environment. Very rigid in doing things with too much red tape. Top Management too operational. Young people not allowed to air their view and not growing. People not allowed to express their opinions. Management want to be specialists by default. Specialists are challenging management but often suppressed.
Pros: Paying well for new employees
Cons: You people not allowed opportunity to explore
