Great exposure in a big cooperation

A typical day in my current post includes responding to Franchisee and Area Manager queries and requests. The culture is one of family, closely knit and supportive - this is something I enjoyed immensely. I have learnt everything from marketing, accounting and the nitty gritty's of technical projects. I now possess the ability to multi-task in various projects such as drafting company correspondence, procurement, compiling data reports, reading and translating financial statements to English. Spur has been a great addition to my corporate life. The most challenging aspect is I work with numerous characters daily. this is a challenge and opportunity to pump one's self up daily for new experiences.

Pros: Great culture
Cons: Linear organisation - room for promotion is small

Made me who I am today

I've learnt through spur of how to treat a customer and satisfy their needs, working for spur group has really made me more focused and more effective so that the customer will be happy.

Pros: There wasn't any opportunities for promotion but rather they would prefer bringing someone from the outside to come take an upper position
Cons: The hours we work are so long in such a way that you were forced to commit yourself to your job because you start at 6:30 in the morning and finish at 22:00 everyday for 6 days
