SPX DB Thermal is closing down in July that's the reason why am looking for work
1.Receiving stock from site. 2. Ensure the stock and paperwork is correct by checking all items 3. Pulling stock to the sandblast area. 5. Visual inspection of all stock before sandblasting for any incomplete welding and if needs repairs if we need repairs arranging with the shops to do the repairs on the stock. 6. Responsible for the crane and forklift driver and the employee that’s grinding the material before sandblasting. 7. Inspection after sandblasting and paint and notifying the QC for the final inspection before painting. 8. Controlling of all the stock at paint yard. 9. Cycle counts daily. 10. Controlling of stock sheet on excel and updating the stock sheet on the progress daily. 14. Stock takes once n month. 15. Shop 3 sand blast area supervision off the employees.
Pros: daily stock stock counts on all stock reporting all stock ensuring the correct stock is loaded for site
Cons: from 07:00 to 16:00 overtime from 16:00 to 18:15 and weekends

Do visual inspections Do dimensional inspections Ensure Post-weld heat treatment are done to requirements and requirements Witness pressure test Ensure welding are performed according to approved welding procedure Ensure that manufacturing are according to approved drawings (including tolerances if applicable) Ensure that quality is build into product Document all actions on all equipment Compile all documents to compile data-book if required Review and present data-packs to client for approvals Attend meetings with clients Do or review non destructive examination are acceptable to standards and requirements Ensure that safety and quality always priority Respect and be respected All relevant quality functions The best feeling of my job is the feeling after a job is released and you know that it is done to the best of your ability Have a happy customer

Great challenge
This above work summary is for my last company. I do not work there anymore. I worked on a contract basis. I had a very demanding & testing job. Where yo had to think out the box @ time. I did like the pressure in doe , that you can be proactive. I as employed as a material supervisor , where logistics is a part of the job description. Adhering to Eskom & clients procedure proocol . in charge of 3 storage lay down areas where the material had to be monitored & preserved n a daily basis, rigging, equipment & all equipment hd to be controlled & delivered by me & my material team for installation on for our specific job scope. Daly meetings & via verbal, telephinically & mail. Daily reports o site & had office. I started late ,so the project ws pushing produiob to complete. Material management system & stock control needed.
Pros: Great Challenge & different work industry

My is rodwel jan segiel. I work at kusile power station for five years i have good experience end communication with people i was working as a rigging assistant end rigging storeman.

I work at kusile power station for more than three years i work for cosira group and saxeni crane here at cosira group as a assistant rigger same at saxeni crean here than saxeni promote me material control then thay dimope me then i work for spx db thermal as rigger assistant then thay promote as a rigging storeman.

I am winning mind set person who will make sure those around me are happy to work with
we install panels and cable for new plant at Eskom power station, i share ideas with colleagues also proactive to work with winning attitude. i have learned and notice working as team will yield positive result. I enjoy surrounded by people who understand our goal and looking up each safety, the most degrading is to work with negative mind team as it brings doubts and low esteem

Qualified red seal boilermaker currently working for Spx on kusile power station and would like to aplly for the foreman job. I already know the ins and outs and procedures of kusile power station (working 2 years here already)

Excellent learning curve
due to due to the dynaamics of the projects in hand every day is different and challenging We worked well as a team . I learnt a lot especially abount construction and the energy sector It agev me a lot of exposure to the business side of the organisation.

Not challenging. Poor training and development
Lack of accountability Poor training and development I learned more in the first few years of my career thereafter it became unchallenging and redundant
