Great exposure to alternative energy generation

Daily work includes monitoring of turbines, attending break downs during working hours and/ or after hours. We have an excellent experienced team of technicians, whom one can always rely on for information. I worked with different teams for different exposure; The operations teans deals with day to day fault findings and corrective actions. The maintenance teams handle yearly maintenance, and that's where one can learn a lot about a turbine. I've expanded my fault finding skills and electrical circuits interpreting skills. Challenges that come with the job are mostly getting ysed to working odd hours abd working at heights.

Pros: Great opportunity for getting into renewable energy
Cons: Position doesn't develop.

Great experience

I spend most of he day kn the turbine learning different component functionality and attending failures with senior technicians. The team consists of very friendly and patient individuals whom are always eager to assist any trainee on site. I love fault finding and giving remedial solutions to prevent future possible problems. Working at heights, has to be highlight of my day and time I've spent here. With tasks at hand, I dinner necessarily enjoy at night, but I've learned to accept it.

Pros: Challenging task daily, really engaging
Cons: Long working hours
