Was a a great opportunity to improve my working experience

When I checked in I usually start cleaning or sorting the shelves so that the shop is nice and tidy when customers enter. Then I will count the money in the safe and do all the necessary paper work. Aterwards I will attend to customers for the rest of the day and clean where and when needed. My relationship with my co workers is really good. We enjoy working together which makes it fun for all of us. They always make my day and I look forward to working. I have learnt how to handle difficult clients by being friendly and trying my best to sort out what ever problem may have occured. Being friendly in this situation is a must. What I loved about working there is the friendly people that surround our business as well as all the other friendly staff from other businesses. The most challenging part of working there would be the long hours and sometimes being alone when it's really busy.

Pros: Great for improving people skills and for gaining experience in the customer service department.
Cons: Very long working hours with no over time and no double pay or time and a half on Sundays. Always paid very late. Sometimes only by the 10th of the next month.

Good customer liason

Having a good customer base is very important. Delivering great services keeps the customers coming back for more of service and also you are able to build a excellent base. Appreciating the job and learning from each other as team, makes the working condition very easy and understandable. Staff feeling happy to come to work because there's a great understanding of team work. Then there's a good customer service rendered and happy staff than there's a happy

It's a good place for thoes who are working for the first time

I believe i deseve more than what I'm earning because i do all the work around the shop for being a cashier to stock controller and general worker Working hours are too much and we don't rest much Me and my co-workers we make a good team we work good together I have learned how to handle difficult customers abd also what to do when the customer is not happy with our sevices I enjoy working with different poeple everyday The challenge in this job is working up everyday knowing that you will be working with money the whole day and if the us a shot of money at the of you shift you have to explain how did you let that happend and still they will have to diduct from your salary

Learning

I worked at Super Jumbo Wholesale as a cashier. I worked at Welkom Cash n Carry. currently working at Sweets from Heaven as a General Worker. I assist with opening of the shop, cleaning, packing, stock taking, banking and other things. I am a friendly person, getting well with colleagues. I have learnt to be patient with other people. I enjoy interaction with different cultures. The most challenging aspect is to deal with rude costumers who shout at you knowing exactly that its not your fault.

Pros: Gaining experience
Cons: Working long hours
