Eye opener that I need more

Working at talisman hire has shown me that not all things need to be studied for but can be learned through determination and practise; hence experience. I finish all my work by 12 pm as it is a half day position. I worked full day and ended up with nothing to do because I finish my work quickly. I have a good working relationship with the staff and I have learned good administrative and customer service skills there. I mainly enjoy knowing that I can always back my work up if something should go wrong. The position needs e to be as careful as possible when dealing with customer and staff's confidential information. There aren't really any challenges and that's what I'm looking for

Pros: close working relationship with colleagues
Cons: Not a great environment for the only female at a branch of 11 men and not enough room for growth as a female

Excellent learning curve

Talisman hire is a toolhire company the hires out construction tools and power tools.It is franchise company which falls under a umbrella of a group calles JMGroup,for me it is a honour working at talisman hire,I can stil remember my first day.I had no knowledge of construction tools but I told myself "I want to learn about this tools" because I wanted to be a great assist to the company,so I did.In 2 months I had the hang of it.So by that I can delivery a machine to a client a show him how to operate it and to switch it off and to give me more finer details of the useses of the tools.

Pros: Great oppertertunity to grow your grow your sale and marketing skills
Cons: Working with dangerous tools

Normal monthly duties

Start every morning with debtors.Drawing bank statement put payment on accounts follow up with clients. Balance petty cash. First day of every month put in all payment .Send out all statements with invoices.First week of month capture all creditors invoices,balance statements and load payment for month end.After creditors is finished recon all bank accounts do trial balance.Draw up balance sheet and send to directors.Send VAT REPORT to auditors for payment.On the sixteen of every month do the payroll. In between check credit applications and normal admin duties.

Pros: I stay in Sabie and Nelspruit is near my home
Cons: I am very far from work drive 240km every day.

There limited opportunities for learning new skills.

On my daily basis we deal mostly with single-piston machines that are used mainly in constructions. This job taught me a lot of things because there are kinds and kinds of machines that we deal with so we learn different approaches when we come across those various machines. There is a good cooperation amongst the workers because team work is very vital when working for an organisation of this kind. We also learn to engage with clients appropriately with different attitudes.

Pros: Though there are no much opportunities for promotion I can still do multiple tasks; from being mechanic to assisting with deliveries and also when my supervisor is not around I can step into his shoes.
Cons: We do work extra hours when there is a demand.
