Taxi industry Reviews

Stressful work experiance

I was working for transnet, earning a good salary thinking that taxi industry and working on your own or creating own business will give good loving wage. No it is not the case. After getting money, you have to that 15000 have t to pay bank and the rest must shared between yourself and maintainance of the vehicle. It is stressful.

Pros: You have to work abnormal hours
Cons: Long working hours

Good travelling opportunities

Being a driver is what I love, working with people and I get the opportunity to travel and know the roads.. I'm good with people and I'm good with communication, can handle pressure,im a fast learner, I'm always alert and careful on the road.. I work very well with my co-workers,i have learnt that loyalty is everything in a workplace..I enjoy taking people to long distances because I know I would have made more money. The most challenging thing is working during the month because it's slow, people don't have money and it's difficult to have a checking at the end of the day.

Pros: good opportunity to travel
Cons: long working hours

Excellent learning curve

Nothing major, but transportation of passengers from Alexandra to Pretoria, from Alexandra to Centurion, from Centurion to Sandton then from Sandton to Alexandra. It was just like as a every taxi industry in South Africa. Taking passengers from point a to point b

Pros: No promotion
Cons: Normal working hours
