Work very independent in own section and are responsible for overall performance thereof. • Responsible for the maintenance of all MV and LV equipment on the Genesis Plant. • Executing daily planning schedules and legal inspections for the all round maintenance work to maintain the chrome plant on a high level of operation. • Executing new installation projects, faultfinding and repairs on all electrical equipment. • Provided skilled training to apprentices and employees to improve quality standards.

Pros: Challenging work environment that covers all areas of management
Cons: The more you do the more you get to do. Responsibilities grown daily because of skill.

Results and cost driven operation

Tharisa has is doing well on the markets and this is due to focus on meeting targets and low operating cost. This is mainly due to introduction of KIP to stay focus on efforts that drive the required results.

Pros: Achieve results
Cons: Blaming is the order of the day if the results are not achieve.

Learning curve for me

Training Coordination. Have good relationship with colleagues and subordinates. I have learnt that not everybody will be satisfied. I enjoy getting paid what I do and like most. Seniors without integrity.

Excellent learning curve

working in a small team, there's teamwork spirit, safety regarded as the highest priority we used to knock off àt 20h30 doing a report making sure that it's accurate as the engineer was to present the following day at the HOD meeting enjoyed doing maintenance plans, shutdown moving around the whole plant checking if everything is running smoothly

Male dominated environment I learned how to leave with different kind of people and to work under pressure. You become busy from start of shift till the end.

I work shift with every 2nd weekend on. I work well with others and I have respect for my sub ordinates and they have the same level of respect for me. I work under a lot of pressure for production. One of the biggest challenges is the quality of the ore that is received
