Not my type of job

Not my kind of job.. salary not bad. Always walking on eggshells to not offend anyone. Do not care about employees or their situation. Micro management. More reports on own work than actual work. There is Favouritism. Rules are plentiful, but it depends who you are, or how management feels on a particular day if the rules count, or not. No way of planning your day, as at a drop of a hat you will be doing something else.

Pros: Salary not bad
Cons: No extra efforts are recognized

Excellent learning curve

A typical day would start of with - download of the Bank Statement of the Cashbook that I am responsible for. - Entering data on Syspro Accounting System to update Cashbook - Reconciliation of Cashbook - Investigation of variances - Liaison with Sales Dept - Gained a lot of experience in the Retail Business - I enjoyed the investigiations and the total reconciling and balancing of a very large Cashbook - Most challenging aspect was co-workers not willing to share knowledge

Pros: Unfortuanetly no prospect of growth.
Cons: Working in a very big open office environment.

Learning Curve

A typical work day include allocation of staff morning cycle count of stock to trace stock theft. check and reply to emails of other stores returns queries. Assess returned stock's eligibility for receive credit. process the credit note and determine the correct exchange value. Relationship with co-workers. Treat everyone with respect, greet everyone in the morning. listen and give opinions if requested. inform management regarding any issue that arise that's beyond my control Lessons. Be solution orientated and always try to find it instead of pointing fingers.
