Gained reletive work experience mostly in the repairs and maintenance of plant equipment

I believe I am being under paid due to the fact that there is a huge difference between the rate of the machine and the rate that I am being paid. Under qualified people with no tertiary qualifications are being given opportunities to make crucial decisions that affect other members of the company.

Pros: Equality amongst employees is still a challenge
Cons: Nobody has a specific job description, operators do gardening and general jobs if machine is on standby

A normal day at work would depend on whether the machine I operate is rented out or not, if not than every operator has to be around the workshop area as to assist the mechanics with repair of any breakdowns if any. In such a case I ended gaining general knowledge of excavator mechanical components and functions. It was an excellent learning curb

Pros: Great exposure to mechanical skills
Cons: No insentives or company contribution to U.I.F or SARS
