Exellent leadership skills

Everyday in a security world is different in terms of challenges faced , one has to be always ready for the worst or at least expect the worst and be alert at all times. Co - workers looks at one as the enemy, especially those with bad intention. I have learnt that it is better not to make friends because employees tend to take advantage and that defeats the whole purpose of one doing their job effectively. I enjoy the fact that everyday one learn something where crime is concerned, that you do not the same thing over and over again but you come across issues that opens your mind. The most challenging aspect of this job for me is investigation and or gathering of facts to establish who the culprits are. dealing with the SAPS is also one of the challenging aspects in the industry , one has to get involved , follow up on cases opened and hope to get a conviction.

Excellent skills development

typical work day is sometimes challenging because you do not know what to expect in terms of crime related matters. Relationship with co workers is pretty good at the same time I do not allow anyone to take advantage , I'm friendly but able to draw the line. I have learnt that security has evolved that technology is taking over and that there are a lot of tools and equipment one can utilize to enhance performance. I enjoy the fact that there are a lot challenges when it comes to security , that you do not do the same thing every day but you experience new things which opens your mind and broadens the skill where investigation is concerned. the most challenging aspects of the job is the fact that crime keeps on rising and security have to stretch the resources they have to cater for the arising need of security.

19yrs experince in security , with a lot of police backround

It is a bit challenging however interesting based on the king of incidents we have. A typical work day would be to ensure that everything runs smoothly , that the site is fully covered and guards are presentable and alert. I have a good relationship with co workers , more team orientated and always going the extra mile. I have learnt that each day is never the same , that in security you have to be open minded and expect the worst to happen and be ready to act no matter what. I enjoy doing investigation , it opens one mind and broadens the level of experience because each incident is different and teaches one a lot. Trying to come up with new ideas and being more proactive in approaching daily challenges.

One always try to find ways to address issues relating to security in a proactive way. Relationship with co workers good however always draw the line so that no one takes advantage. Learnt that there is always challenges and one need to be always ready and willing to go the extra mile. The support from managers HOD and the level of commitment from my team. The most challenging aspects of my job is ensuring that one is always ahead , trying to find new technology and realizing that the cost implication there of is greater but the solutions are however long term.

Excellent accounting skills

The company takes good care of employees however there is less growth opportunities especially on the financial side of the business. So one has to stay in one position for quiet along period.

Good learning curve for new employee because they start at the beginning of the process

I am a 12 hour shift worker with different age and race but interestingly because we have an opportunity to know and understand other people's cultures .It is good environment where people are always given opportunity to learn about other sections within the process. We perform walk about every Friday with works manager to identify hazardous areas and improve some critical areas in plant. We also help with maintenance work permits and job cards during shutdown and throughout the process and make sure we adhere to safety start ups and house keeping

Learning different things every day

Daily inspection and maintanance of the plant. Working with different types of equipment evryday ensuring full working capacity of the plant. have a good working team. Working full time in boiler plant.

Fast learner and willingness to learn

i work well with a team and alone,. i do standbys and i learnt that hard word working pays. i enjoy spend ing time with my family and friends. i am no afraid of any challenges cause thats were you learn.

i work monday to friday and do standbye some weekends. i work very well in a team and alone. i "ve learnt that hard work pay no matter what are the circumstances.
