Working in different countries and learning different cultures, priceless

In my line of work I manage people from different countries, this makes my job exciting as I continuously will not have a dull day. Every day is different. what I enjoy most about my job is traveling and ensuring that all the warehouse standards are kept to the agreed company standards. I have been one of the progressive managers in the company by ensuring that all my team staff is trained and continuously developed to get them ready for the next level of their career. Succession planning is one of my key principles. I believe in succession to ensure that the work will continue irrespective of the key staff being present or not including myself.

Build and enhance on a broad range of skills.

A tough “get what needs to be done, done” environment. Diverse requirements placed on employees day-to-day with little to no clear direction on how to deliver the outcomes required. Systems driven organisation with business process being defined by the art of the possible technically.

Pros: Great opportunity to stand out, learn new skills and master self governance. Leadership and management experience.
Cons: Long hours, high pressure, misaligned expectations and delivery objectives.

High pressure environment, team player, learnt new systems and IT influences

High pressure environment, team players, the business is IT driven so I have gained knowledge in that aspect, interact with all major players within the business, operations, marketing etc

Pros: It is a complex environment so the knowledge gained is immense
Cons: Very largely hit by the coronavirus

Supporting the Executive team with their daily requirements.

I supported the CEO and executive team from 2015 I supported the CEO and executive team from 2015 to 2018 when the CEO immigrated to the UK office to run the business from our UK office. I continued to support the CFO, CCO, CIO and HO HR. In 2018 I was also brought into the HR department to assist with administration. I was lucky enough to attend Employment Equity training, BBB-EE training, a SAGE Payroll course as well as currently completing an NQF 4 Generic Management course which we have been completing remotely and on line from home due to Covid 19. Unfortunately due to the nature of our business , Duty free retail on board airplanes and ground stores many of us had to be retrenched. when fice and staff

Admin assist Execs, HR & staff. Travel. Office Mnt & Prcrmnt. Contract renewals.

Tourvest Reatl Services are an inflight duty free retail company most recently doing food sales on board British Airways, included. They were badly affected by the Covid 19 pandemic due to the nature of their business and so had to retrench a number of staff. I please note that this block does not allow me to see my documentation so I apologise for a bad report. Please check your system.
