The job is a learning experience.

Print out premium collection for the branches & do the reports daily. Access claim that come in to our office from our parlour branches if we approve or decline the claim and I update the spreadsheet for our claims and for the underwrite. My job you learn new things everyday with ever changing industry & competition. What I enjoy most is to see a happy client at the end of the day. Challenging part about my job when I have to decline due to that maybe policy has lapsed or client still with in waiting period.

Pros: To be a supervisor
Cons: To tell the family why you can't render a service to them when they have a policy with us.

Interesting work environment

I perform finance as well as PA duties in the company. My typical day includes printing bank statements for the finance department, bank reconciliations, distribution of stationery, correspondence with the bank and insurance company, loading of payments. In the absence of the CEO I release payments as well. The hours are long and sometimes I work over weekends. The job for me is no longer challenging as i am not learning or doing anything new.

Pros: Medical aid, provident fund
Cons: Long working hours, not challenging, poor salary, no opportunities for growth

Excellent learing curve

A great it's a great learning curve. I came as an intern to learn , it's a busy company with employees that h lofe and care for one another. The change is people dont follow the process in place.
