Excellent self-development

Working at this company has been a great pleasure for me, I have grown and learnt so much in this past year, I'm feeling more equipped to take on the challenges of the administration world. Being here is like being part of a family, the team work is great and the systems work very well. I have learnt to become more of a people's person here as I have to communicate with many people everyday, including co-workers and students. I have also improved my Excel skills significantly, and looking forward to more improvement. I mostly enjoy interacting with the students, helping them is the most rewarding part of my job. I would say the most challenging aspect is being able to complete numerous tasks daily while assisting students and co-workers simultaneously to the best of my ability. Somehow it all gets done.

Pros: Great feeling of belonging
Cons: Travelling by two trains, sometimes trains are delayed or cancelled due to striking or vandalism.

Its been a good learning curve for me

my responsibilities and duties at Tsiba daily is to ensure that the daily register is at reception for the co workers to sign in, am also responsible for welcoming visitors and taking them to their respective venue or inform the the co worker of their visitor.am also responsible for managing the reception area take all incoming calls form the switchboard and queries and also order stationery and consumables for the company and manage them, take all invoices to finance and also arrange courier for the co workers .i have a good relationship with my fellow colleagues i enjoy their company we have a very good communication and understanding ,the challenges am currently facing would be that the is not much career development and the employees are not really taken good care of and also that the work load sometime can be straining and frustrating

Pros: there is a very great networking platform
Cons: lack of development and not really paying well

Development of myself and the company was my primary focus

I plan my week ahead to avoid unnecessary pressure accordingly. I enjoy working with individuals from different social background. I have learned to plan, organize and structure my daily task in such a way it creates efficiency within the department. I enjoy being at work with being part of creative hardworking team my most challenging moments at work was to get the buyIn of certain key line managers to comply to our procurement systems but we managed to find common sense around the matter. Cons: Enjoy every our of my work even if it means to work overtime.

Great working environment and opportuniites

A vibey unique and enterprise environment. great teamwork and camaraderie at a senior level, because of the size of company the potential for growth is limited, here are more opportunities at a junior level. As an NPO, funding is also a a factor.

Its been a good learning curve for me

the typical day at work would be ensuring that we have enough consumables , take switchboard calls , welcome visitors and directing them to the write full organize coffee for the meeting ensure the is stationery , manage lost and found report all maintenance problems to the maintenance company ensure everything is fixed , manage the daily register.

Training people to ignite opportunity

I work for an institution that educates young people who would have otherwise fallen off the radar of tertiary education. I interact continuously with people, both students and staff members. apart from classroom contact time, I manage the implementation of workplace based training in order to prepare students for the real working enviroment. I continue to learn in every job I have ever had. My learning in this job has been about the implementation of a new learning program, and contextualising the material for the current institution.

Cons: Retrenchment due to funding struggles
