I have learned a lot

Work starts at 07:00-17:00pm * I work in a make dominated industry therefore I have learned to be patient with people as most to the production employees don't have any formal education and cannot communicate and write well. * I work well with my co-workers I have learned that everyone has their own problems therefore a smile can go a long way. * My typical work day the moment I enter the office my work beggings, I sit by the reception from Monday to Thursday I collect salary queries from production workers and their supervisors, I update their time sheets and attendance registers, I prepare appointment letters, transfer letters and notices for work if there is over time to be worked * I maintain the departments filling. * I report to the HR/ER Manager As it is a male dominated industry I am the only one with a Degree in my Department and who is computer literate therefore I do 75% of the HR Departnental work

Pros: I have learned a lot when coming to the HR side of my work
Cons: No space for growth as it is a family company, No transformation in HR we use Gumtree to advertise and we do not have access to any job and career portals, No Performances Management System, No job Grading Systems and Management Structure is not well in place

Was an excellent opportunity, I learned a lot

I did fault finding electrical and mechanical, mentainance, repair of machinery and electronic control gears. Dismantling, repairing and manufacturing of parts, mechanical and electrical installations, plus modification and reconstruction of machinery

Pros: Wonderful opportunity
Cons: Working hours are long

Great learning curve

I have the ability to grow with a job, handle responsibility and build positive relationship with work colleagues at all levels. I did maintenance and repair of machinery, electrically and mechanically. I did fault finding, dismantling, electrical installation, electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Pros: great opportunity
Cons: long working hours

Quality controller

I am a quality controller at UNICA IRON AND STEEL and My duties are to control the following materials are within required specifications : checking material size, surface defects, thickness, temperature ,length, sample weight per meter, communicate with fitters and furnace operator(temperature) and do report writing on daily basis based on production & qualities. Personally I am passionate with metallurgy and I am willing to learn more in this field. I am willing to relocate anywhere in South Africa. I have worked as a instrument technician in Siemens Camden power station & unica iron & steel

I have an N4 certificate and S4( national diploma) in the field of electrical engineering and an experience in operational and monitoring, operational plan, exceptional knowledge in system installation, PLC programming, process and instrumentation. I have worked as a instrument technician in Siemens Camden power station and unica iron and steel as an engineer in training.

Pros: great learning cave for me
Cons: 18 hours
