Organisations management maturity towards HR involvement
My current organisation is a fast moving environment that is very agile in delivering projects and one is expected to hit the ground running. The environment is highly under pressure in terms of being deadline driven, depending who requires what information and who should deliver that information. Team work is key with all departments. There is a lot of fun and every success is celebrated by all team members from winning a bid to a successful launch and implementation of a software solution to a client site. I enjoyed the fulfilling CSI initiatives and social Fridays as well as seeing intern graduates mature to fine young adults and witnessing the transition from being learners to young responsible adults. Challenges come where there are discrepancies with line managers and when they are challenged to act differently towards their employees, the maturity to some of them to be able to balance the task orientation to the people management orientation.
Pros: Great opportunities to learn more and be an HR all rounder including remuneration in terms of payroll inputs.
Cons: Structure is flat and there are no opportunities to hold a different position unless your promoter resigns

A supportive working environment
A good company to work for as it is expanding and more opportunities are surfacing. Employees are good mentors to juniors. If you seek to grow as an individual you have to communicate and show interest in the business need by getting into training and projects.
Pros: Diverse and young. In-house training and guidance provided ahead of projects.
Cons: Business need is always changing but training is provided in order to assist staff to adapt.

I obtained more knowledge in the IT industry.
I am a young dedicated individual with passion to develop computer application/programs and I am eager to learn. I am goal directed and see any project I am involved in into conclusion. I am a strong team player and can take initiative and function in stressful situations. I'd like to obtain experience within a company environment that demands high standards and encourages self-development and to further my career in Information Technology (IT) field while learning new and creative ways of improving my skills. I wish to implement the skills that I have learned, in the real world. It is a great opportunity for me as I got exposed to the ADAPT IT system and I now understand their business culture and how things are done in the organization. I got the opportunity to work with the finance team and I am proud to say I learned a lot with the Procurement System and Asset system.
Pros: You work hard, you get rewarded and everyone is treated equally.
Cons: The working hours is 8hrs excluding lunch time but there are also flexi hours.

Excellent work exposure
I am a young lady with a Bachelor degree in Social Science: Psychology from the University of Pretoria which I completed within duration in 2009. I am currently working at Adapt IT (Pty) Ltd – Energy division as an Human Capital Officer. I have performed wide variety of activities including strategic workforce planning, staffing and recruiting processes, learning and development, performance management, HR information systems, employee relations, and HR administration including benefits in order to enhance corporate productivity and profitability I terminated my employment with Dawn HR Solutions for reason based on career growth and personal quest to work under minimum supervision. I am actively in the job market due to relocation based reasons from Cape Town to Gauteng preferably in the Johannesburg area. I am willing to travel provincially and nationally.

Good Company
• Compiles documentation for various meetings as per the business / client’s requirements. • Coordinating the sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information. • Working closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business. • Working closely with stakeholders (clients, vendors and management) to understand and capture requirements. • Replying to stakeholder’s queries following requests for information and proposal requests. • Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems. • Assist in the preparation and organising of promotional material or events. • Putting together business cases for the sales teams to support their proposals/bids. • SAP CRM Administrator (SAP Hybris) • Project Coordinating small project within the business.

Excellent learning curve
I have customer customer service I have enjoyed working in this big well known Company across all boards A typical work day will be dealing clients and resolving all queries Good relationship with my co-workers The most challenging aspect of my job is the system we work with that changes every month and have to learn and also be able to assist clients with no knowledge and making you guiding clients to the correct path
Pros: learning new things about the system and the company
Cons: I work very far from work so have to wake up earlier to get to work on time.

Lessons learned
Adapt IT is a software organization. I on the other hand come from and Hardware background. Merging the two has been an interesting experience and a massive learning curve, being involved with Adapt IT has expended my presentation skills as I did that on a daily bases to new prospective channel partners, managing the end to end process.My scope of work was of a Channel business development Manager that Looks after new and existing Channel partners around Technology expense Management solutions on a high level. My day to day engagement was to contact resellers with the telecoms sector, schedule meeting with management so we as Adapt IT can introduce ourselves and our services, this was so we could align ourselves as well as find strategic partner to best deliver our software solutions through integration of BSS OSS.
