Ample opportunities to further studies

working at the company has its own perks. like one could further their studies, collaborate with other divisions or even international companies or funders. However, when it comes to employee wellbeing or compensation it seems to fall short, especially since it uses the "cost to company" salary scheme. There are no bonuses or thirteenth cheque perks, technicians are under compensated when compared to those in support (admin, facilities)

Great learning curve

Learnt more about agriculture, research & development. work well with co-workers. Travelling at least once a year to remote farm areas, I enjoy travelling

Good managing skill and interpersonal communication

Everyday it’s an exciting day because got to learn new things everyday.co workers are very good people they encourage us to work hard and to have a good communication skills.i have learnt to to have a good communication skill and to manage time.i enjoy being at the field as at the and got to plant different seeds.the most challenging thing is planting mis planting and the seeds doesn’t germinate

Excellent learning environment, networking with various researchers from diverse companies

Ability to study and incorporate work with studies not office bound, be able to work in the field and in the office site visits to different locations nationally able to present studies in conferences, seminars or workshops challenges are stressful during peak times eg planting, harvesting and trial management especially for trials outside the research station

Long hours work with no pay

Eye opening and more knowledge of the practical side of things.

e at ARC has been great, it have been eye opening. when first joined ARC i only had the theory par, but now i know more of the practical side of things.

Pros: more knowledge on Research side of things.
Cons: can not say no when someone asks for help.

Excellent learning Curve

It a big company with friendly employees. Their management coorperate with safety requirement. Management participate to any activities of the company. We holds holds toolbox talk every now and then and they fully participate.
